Alpen Mosaik
About Us
Alpen Mosaik Bildung und Kultur e.V. is a non-profit association dedicated to the integration of migrants into society — through personal support and intensive mentoring. We bring together people from different cultural, linguistic and social backgrounds, creating spaces where children, young people, families and seniors can learn from one another and grow together.
A key focus of our work is supporting children and young people from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds: with extracurricular care, tutoring for pupils, apprentices and students, language and integration courses, and multi-day exam preparation led by experienced mentors. We also award scholarships to students and pupils in financial need.
We believe in empowering young people: we educate about substance abuse, violence, fundamentalism, radicalism and racism, working closely with schools, parents and other institutions active in the same field.
Regular art and music courses, day trips, city excursions, and sports and leisure activities round out our programme. Especially close to our hearts are our weekly tea evenings, to which we invite children, young people and adults grouped by age, social background and local proximity — accompanied by experienced parents, educational counsellors, social workers and youth mentors.
Our work is guided by the values of tolerance, respect, solidarity, diversity and love. The association is carried by volunteers, members and partners who believe in an open, ever-learning Alpine region — and in a community where differences don’t divide but enrich.
